We can check your insurance policy to make sure it’s all in order. What have you got to lose?

What we look out for

Not all insurance policies are the same. But the one thing they do have in common is that they’re a contract. Some, like many legal documents, are stuffed with jargon and mind-numbingly tedious. It’s easy to overlook things you may need to be covered for. We can flag up any gaps and check through the small print, from the conditions to the exclusions to the definitions. That way, there are no unwelcome surprises should you ever need to file a claim.

Here are some common oversights.

  • Does your buildings sum reflect the total cost of rebuilding your house – or its market value?
  • What happens if a flood or fire makes your home uninhabitable or your business premises unusable?
  • Do you have this for all your contents, or are only certain items covered such as electric goods and white goods?
  • If an item in a set was ruined or stolen, such as a damaged basin in your bathroom suite, would every matching piece be replaced?
  • Are you covered for finding the source of a water leak (your walls or floor may need demolishing to find it)?
  • What happens when your rental property or business premises are closed for renovation? Fire and flood can mean more than a loss of income
